Kucina ("the App", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. This is used solely to identify your account so you can access your recipes and inventory across devices. We never see your Google password.
Products you add (names, quantities, categories, expiry dates), cookbooks you create, and recipes you save are stored in our cloud database (Supabase). This data is tied to your account and is never shared with other users.
The App uses your device camera to scan barcodes for product lookups. Images are processed entirely on-device and are never stored, uploaded, or shared. The camera is only accessed when you explicitly tap the barcode scan button.
The App displays rewarded video ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
This data is used by Google to serve relevant ads and measure performance. You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device Settings → Google → Ads.
Subscription purchases (Kucina Pro) are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive your subscription status (active/expired) and order ID from Google. We do not have access to your credit card or payment details — those are handled entirely by Google Play.
When you import a recipe from a URL, the App fetches the web page content. No personal data is sent during this process. The URL is used only to retrieve the recipe content.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for automated profiling or decision-making.

Your data is stored in Supabase's EU region (encrypted at rest and in transit). We use Supabase Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure you can only access your own data. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.
Your recipe and inventory data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete individual items (products, recipes, cookbooks) at any time within the App. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent before showing ads or accessing your device's Advertising ID. You can change your consent choices at any time in the App's Settings screen.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or email.
